I want to believe this isn't true. However, This charging for parties is so bloody rampant amongst Caribeans in NewYork. I was literarily just having this conversation with a friend yesterday , can you imagine for every party you are invited to they ask you to bring $25-$50 or a bottle of Rum/Champagne. Absolutely ridiculous if you can't afford to throw a party then don't throw one. So I categorically stated to them that where I come from in Nigeria when you throw a party you go all out, food, drinks and desert is on the house. It's just #Ghetto Fabulous to ask your guest to pay for the food they eat at a function you invited them to. Remember they were invited they didn't beg to come or be invited therefore, they can rightly stay at home and enjoy the comfort of their bed or dinning room with whatever food home provides. Simple and short. #NoShade just #RealTalk
