Photos: Road leading to Ikpeazu's home in Abia blocked after he's declared winner

There's chaos in Abia state this morning after PDP Governorship candidate in the state Okezie Ikepazu was declared winner of yesterday's governorship election. There's an ongoing fight between APGA and PDP Youths in the state. The road leading to Ikpeazu's house has been blocked by angry youths. PDP supporters dressed a coffin in APGA flag while chopping off fowls head which is a symbol for APGA. See the photos after the cut...

I just hatte the fact that Ikpeazu won. Abia people has never enjoyed dividend of democracy. I just pity them. Dr Alex Otti could have won and let's see the performamce of another party in that state. Its well ndi Abia State.

Was clearly rigged, abia state never voted PDP after all they went through in T. Orji's hands. Abia is the least developed SE state, their past governors just loot and go. It's a sad situation.

After announcements have been made what are these jobless youths clamouring for? Is Alex Otti spearheading their protest? The answer is NO. Alex Otti is at home probably licking his wounds and thinking of how he'll defect to the party in power and these rascals are here killing themselves.

Unknown said...

PDP hasn't been good to abia state
They have not done any tangible think 4 the state.

Unknown said...

I knw smtin lyk dis wl happen

They should try and take it easy! Election no be war.

Congrats bt der is no need 4 violence again na shooo, Na wa oooooo ds supporters sef kind do nonsense o.

Unknown said...

I also noticed the Igbo brethren are their own downfall, they never seem to be united. Yes Hausas fight all the time but they never fight themselves, it's only the igbos that fight themselves. They kinda lack unity and if they ever want to build a successful Biafra or a successful front(depends on the struggle they pick) they had better realise that it's not about whose village the front runner is from or whose LGA or Clan but it's about who has the best interest of the people and is capable and competent to deliver the goods. Until they start thinking that way they'll continue to marginalise themselves and blame others for their failure.

Take look at the road that leads to governor-elect house..so poor! Abia that is supposed to be de capital of Igbo states looks so poor! Go to kano, kaduna, katsina and see express roads..and they say northerners are not clever! Igbos be politically logical and build ur states together..it not always about individual benefits. Life is about family and society in general, u can't say u are rich if u don't contribute to ur community, society and states in general.

Is blockage evidence that the fellow did not win or are they looking for a lagoon to sink into because they did not vote for him?!

knowurway.com said...

Hmmm why PDP supporters is looking for trouble now? I pray APGA give them the trouble they want

SMURF said...

Why can't elections be peaceful without any form of violence or killings!!

Anonymous said...

All aggrieved parties should head to the tribunal. Stop this Mayhem and stupidity. If you are angry Ikpeazu won, head to the tribunal. Blocking the roads to Ikpeazu's home won't change a thing!

Anonymous said...

If you people like, block road from today till tomorrow, Ikpeazu has won. Aggrieved parties, hit the tribunal.

Anonymous said...

Angry youths indeed! Will all these make Otti the winner???? Ikpeazu has been declared winner already. When they said come out and vote, did they come. Abia state experienced a very low turnout. Nobody should cause any trouble o. Go and squash your squabble at the Tribunal.

It's obvious that Abians has been ripped off their rights. But God is still God. If Ta orji feels that him and his stooge will deprive abians the pleasure of having a good leader by imposing themselves on the seat, It's now between them and God! It's still Dr Alex Otti all the way. ****cageyberry ****

This is why the Abia people will continue to be backward. This is also why the yorubas in lagos are angry at them. They want to turn us to what they have become. Allowing crazy criminals rule them is their choice and not ours.

Anonymous said...

That is the obvious truth.

That's the truth that is bitter to hear.

Dont judge a book by its cover. Ikpeazu can and will do better. No rigging was done. We should always give people second chances...in this case; give the party a second chance.

Demonstrate from now till the next election, it'll change nothing. there is a clear winner, and there is no going back now. Move on people, and stop sulking. Abian's should be looking for ways to movie the State forward, and not cause problems which may lead to the exact opposite.
